1. Do you have any fun plans for the Summer?

• We, +Paul Edwards & I, will enjoy some new roads to ride our motorcycles and some other fun Summer stuff... picnics, bbqs, etc.

2. Are you currently dieting or following a specific eating plan?

• I wouldn't say yes and I wouldn't say no. It all depends on one's definition of dieting. The word diet itself simply means: nutrition, nourishment, food and so on. So, technically, we all diet. Some special, because of health reasons, some for weight loss or control, etc. So, to answer the question, yes, I'm dieting. The general idea is to stay alive. ;-)

3. How often do you wear blue jeans (or any other color of denim)?

• Everyday. Colors range from light blue to black.

4. Who is your favorite singer?

• I don't have one specific favorite. I like many. One of which is Natalie Grant, another: Kari Jobe. Those two stand out at the moment.

5. Have you cooked anything interesting lately?

• I love cooking. So, yes, I have cooked something interesting lately. Loads of things... it's something different almost everyday. We had an interesting version of a taco salad last night. We used Salmon (baked on the oven with cayenne pepper) instead of chicken or beef. Also, it had regular dinner salad components. We also have some organic jalapeno peppers. So, we cut one of those up and put it in the salad, raw. We used broken up tortilla chips as the bed to start the layers. It was quite yummy.

Thankful Thursday [20110127]

One typically has a weekly theme while the other simply gives thanks. I like them both so I pay tribute to both when I post. Join in! What are you thankful for?

I have much to be thankful for. I'll list five things this week:

1. God's grace and mercy HE continues to pour out over me and fill me.
2. The basic things in life: a home, food, water, clothing, transportation.
3. The wonderful mentors HE's placed in my life via "Online". One mentor has encouraged me to begin writing my first book. Praise God I have just over 1200 words so far. That might not seem like much. But, it's a lot coming from someone who's never written a book before. Oh, I've written blog posts and the like. But, they're usually one a page or two, aren't they?
4. A Soul Mate to share my life with in this Earthly life.
5. Great friends and family.
6. Bonus one: That none of our belongings or bodies were involved in a car smashing into our garage door late in the night. It's been an interesting morning here to say the least.

52 Weeks-52 Letters

As I perused my blog friends posts today I came across my friend Sara's blog. She's the person I started my Project 365 photo blog from, last year. It was a failure on my part. I'm starting it again this year. I have my 1st week up. You can see the link to the right, scroll down some.

This year I'm going to add something new. Sara started it. She saw it on her friend's blog and decided to take on the challenge. I shall too.

We all love to receive letters in the mail. No, I'm not talking about email or facebook. I'm talking about the USPS mail box outside your house. Some have to walk to the end of the walkway to the sidewalk. Some simply step outside onto their porch. Some go all the way to the Post Office. Some stop at the entryway of their apartment property to the mailbox station, to pick up their mail. I do the last. Yes, we recently moved from a house to an apartment.

If you have my email address, and you'd like to receive a letter/postcard/card from me. Email me your postal address. I shall send you a letter.

I challenge each of you to hand write a letter to someone, anyone, many people over the next year. Don't just type it up on the computer and print it out. Hand written is much more personal. It lets the receiver feel special and that you care because you took time to actually write to them. That's going to be a challenge for me however. My handwriting is chicken scratch these days. It'll give me a chance to improve my penmanship.

I'm late getting started. But, like Sara said in her post, "but I think I can make those up easily."

What a wonderful way to praise God and be an encouragement to others. Here's my prayer, petition and praise:

Prayer & Petition: Dear Heavenly Father God... I bring this to you because Jesus has shown us the way. I thank You for Jesus being my Savior. My prayer is for all the lost, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. There's so much out there Lord. I pray that in Your timing each one will come to You. I lift myself up to You Father seeking forgiveness for any selfishness and sins I've committed. I thank You in advance for hearing, acting on [loving me enough to clear my wrongs away] and showing me Your love. I seek healing of my physical injuries after my two wheeled accident Father. I trust and know You are in control of all this. Whatever the reason for this happening Lord, I commit it to You and leave it with You to handle and take care of. I love You Father God. In Jesus' name, amen.

Praise: My praise is that God spared my life on Thursday night after crashing my motorcycle and sustaining minimal injuries and the motorcycle with little damage. I pray this be an example to those who need it Father. Thank You. My other praises are that we have the freedom to worship God through Jesus salvation.

Now, it's your turn out there. Take some time and spend it with the Lord and share it with others to encourage others.

Well... God's changed my direction of things briefly. He's working something out for me to post. It's big and mighty! Be ready to brace yourselves.
