Today's word prompt: Together

GO

What do you think of when you hear the word together? Most will answer something like being together with others in community. That fits in with what I'll write about today.

I found this great bit of scripture:
Have the Attitude of Christ
Philippians 2:1-3
1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?
2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
3 Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
In verse 1 you'll notice the question of fellowship together in the Spirit? And in verse 2c working together with one mind and purpose. When the Spirit works in and through us we are in unity together being like-minded and working together as one in Christ. In doing so we aren't selfish, or trying to impress. We're humble and thinking of others as better than ourselves. This is the ultimate of love, is it not? As commanded in Galatians 5:14 For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Love is such a powerful thing.

STOP

  1. Dear Kimberly
I have found that this togetherness where we consider the other as more important than yourself is only possible when we are all bound together in the unity of the a Holy Spirit of Love. It is our Pappa God that pours His love into our hearts to the overflow to really flow over unto all around us!
    Blessings XX
