2012 Life Scriptures

Over the past two years I've had to learn to trust all over again. It's not been an easy road. I still have a ways to go. Two verses spoke very clearly to me about trust. Those verses are:

  1. Isaiah 26:4
    Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
  2. Isaiah 40:31
    But those who trust in the LORD
    Shall renew their strength;
    They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
    They shall run and not be weary,
    They shall walk and not faint.
I will focus on my trust in the LORD Yahweh. It will help my be strong in HIM and build my trust in relationships.

Soul Phone

Isaiah 50:2, 4-5, 10-11
2a-d Why, when I came, was there no man?
   Why, when I called, was there none to answer?
   Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem?
   Or have I no power to deliver?
4 "The Lord GOD has given Me
   The tongue of the learned,
   That I should know how to speak
   A word in season to him who is weary.
   He awakens Me morning by morning,
   He awakens My ear
   To hear as the learned.
10 "Who among you fears the LORD?
    Who obeys the voice of His Servant?
   Who walks in darkness
   And has no light?
   Let him trust in the name of the LORD
   And rely upon his God.
11a Look, all you who kindle a fire,
   Who encircle yourselves with sparks:
   Walk in the light of your fire and in the
   sparks you have kindled--

Obedience is tough. It's easy in today's society to ignore the call of God and keep going with our day to day life without HIS guidance & wisdom. Are you distracted with life? Are you weary? Answer God's call. You won't regret it! That is my Friday's challenge to you.

I am the LORD

Isaiah 45:5-8
5 I am the Lord;
      there is no other God.
   I have equipped you for battle,
      though you don’t even know me,
6 so all the world from east to west
      will know there is no other God.
   I am the Lord, and there is no other.
    7 I create the light and make the darkness.
   I send good times and bad times.
      I, the Lord, am the one who does these things.
8 “Open up, O heavens,
      and pour out your righteousness.
   Let the earth open wide
      so salvation and righteousness can sprout up together.
      I, the Lord, created them.

The Word or A Resolution

I'm joining my bloggy friend Tiffany over at Tea with Tiffany as she makes a new year's resolution by using a word(s) instead of a list.

You can find out more detail by reading her specific post on this subject. Just click mr linky for her blog link.

If you feel inclined to also follow the lead please link your post to this one or Tiffany's original.

Lord Jesus, I pray that You would put in me a new word(s)/phrase that I could use for 2009. I pray that I be diligent and focused on You as I use it during the year to strengthen me. In Jesus' name, amen.

My word(s) will be:

Trust & obey keeps coming to mind. I feel the Holy Spirit moving on this. I believe I'll use it.

Here's my scripture:
Isaiah 50:9-10
9 Surely the Lord GOD will help Me;
Who is he who will condemn Me?
Indeed they will all grow old like a garment;
The moth will eat them up.
10 “ Who among you fears the LORD?
Who obeys the voice of His Servant?
Who walks in darkness
And has no light?
Let him trust in the name of the LORD
And rely upon his God.
