Christian Quote for today [1/27/2009]

Faith for my deliverance is not faith in God.
Faith means, whether I am visibly delivered or not,
I will stick to my belief that God is love.

  1. POWERFUL!!!

    Kimberly,

This is so personal for me because several years ago my husband fell sick for 3 years with two chronic diseases. The doctors (once they finally diagnosed him) really didn't know what to do.

Long story short, GOD was always in it. Both of us had strong faith in the LORD and as I prayed for him, he only prayed for God's will. His attitude was just what O. Chambers said. My husband felt, whether the healing of Christ manifested in the natural over his body or not -- he was HEALED! Whether God decided to take him before we were ready or not -- he was going to praise the LORD and so was I. We stood by faith -- faith in GOD's love and...

now almost 5 years later, my husband is here, well and still walking by faith and so am I! Hallelujah!

Thank you for this today. It's just one more reason to PRAISE THE LORD!

Love you and thank you for allowing me to share our story of GOD'S LOVE.

  3. Kimberly,

I am so encouraged by the simplistic YET powerful and profound way the LORD uses your life to bless mine. I'm not only encouraged, I'm grateful.

I know you'd prefer no thanks but know that in thanking you I'm really GIVING GOD THE GLORY for I realize without a doubt that HE IS IN CONTROL. Praise the LORD.

    Thank you my sweet friend.

  4. Praise God Lisa... The Lord gripped me when He put this quote in front of me and compelled me to post it. I could feel the Holy Spirit say that someone needs this today and you are going to be the one to post it for them. It was as if I was a puppet and God had the strings and made this happen. It was amazing how it all just fell into place. I too believe it's powerful. It also speaks to my heart!

I'm so glad you shared your story here. I appreciate you and how you glorify God using thanks. I too do it that way. It's all because God loved me first. I have no choice but to give Him the glory! It's because of HIM that I am me and that I am here.

Thank you for sharing and showing me some love. I need it too!

  6. Beautiful picture and verse! I taught my favorite group of seniors in SS on Sunday. I call them my "ancients" in the spirit of Hebrews 11:1.

"Faith...being sure and certain of what's unseen...that is what the ancients were commended for."

The isn't a more appropriate verse for my day. Thanks for illustrating it so lovely.

  7. @Tiffany: That's how God compelled today. I love it too.

@Elaine: It's a blessing when we can look upon "the ancients" and commend them in the nature of God's word giving God the glory.

I'm so glad that this post has touched all of you.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your fingerprint here.

  8. Sweet Kimberly,

What better place for us to be then a puppet for the LORD. I love it!! He can move my hands, my feet and my body in whatever direction He chooses. He can open my mouth and use my voice and let it be HIS WORDS that are spoken. He can occupy my thoughts. He can fill my heart with His presence.

Whatever you want to do LORD I humble myself before You to be used. If you can find one thing in this filthy rag that I am then use me LORD. If you can shine Christ through me Father then use me--use us Father. We love You. Praise the Lord!

Kimberly I had to come back tonight to show your post to my husband it just has walked with me ALL DAY. Isn't it something???!!!

Bless you my friend and sister in Christ. May your obedience to our LORD always bring Him glory and may it bless you tremendously.

You have a true SERVANTS heart!
