Music

"Music is essentially useless, as life is." - George Santayana

1 Chronicles 16:4-6
And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD God of Israel: Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, and Obed-Edom: Jeiel with stringed instruments and harps, but Asaph made music with cymbals; Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God.

It's obvious to me that the quote listed at the beginning is completely not true.

As we see in the God's word that music was used in a way to praise the Lord God. In the case of this scripture it was obvious they were celebrating the return of "The Ark of the Covenant".

God loves to hear music and for us to praise him with music. Afterall He has a Choir of Angels. There's nothing on Earth to compare. It's way beyond the human's comprehension the real beauty of God's music and singing. One day when we get to Heaven we'll get to experience and witness it ourselves.

What's your views on music?
