Love Your Enemies

Luke 6:27-38
“But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. If anyone strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

On a side note this fits with the passage above talking about giving & getting back in return; I think.

Judging Others
Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

Often we turn our noses up and turn our backs to our enemies and others that we feel uncomfortable with. God is a merciful God and is forgiving. As His words says we're to show our love to everyone; even our enemies. His word says: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.

Folks, we're in big trouble here. Often we hear the term, "what goes around; comes around". I believe that. If you treat others without respect they'll return the favor. Sometimes in life we think we've gotten away with this disrespect. Eventually, pay back is rough. I don't know about you but I'm guilty and I'm repenting to my Father God. I'm asking for forgiveness of my sin and am seeking to rectify my judgemental attitude. I pray that you will too!

O' My God Father, please wipe away my bad attitude and give me a clean start. I know your word says it's done. Thank You Father God. I ask for Your guidance & direction to love ALL people. For, it's because, YOU loved me first even through my sin. Praise, honor & glory to YOU Father. Show me how to love everyone. I lay face before You giving myself over to You Father. I love You with every part of my being and then some. I pray this for my readers and those who may not even read it but because they need this blessing Father. In Jesus' name, amen.

  2. Absolutely MissDaisyAnne. That's the most profound thing about God to me; is that HE is at work pulling us together in HIS word with other's messages. Uniformity!

  6. Love my enemies. I experienced the freedom of that last spring when I wrote my molester an "i forgive you" letter. I introduced him to Jesus and wow was that amazingly healing. I actually felt God's love for this guy. He's the worst of child predators. Only God could change my heart.

    Great prayer.
